AndTheClock is a straightforward live wallpaper application that allows for easy customization to suit individual preferences. The app displays the current time digitally, with seconds running in a circle around it, presenting what is known as a studio clock.
Hint: If encountering issues while setting the wallpaper, consider using a dedicated wallpaper selection app like <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.wallpaper">Google Wallpaper</a>.
Users have the option to display the current day and date, with adjustable date formats to align with local conventions. Customization includes selecting from a variety of fonts within the app or trying the 'surprise' font feature, which randomly changes fonts every minute. Additionally, the app supports using locally downloaded fonts.
For those interested in applying their custom font, instructions guide users to download their preferred font, select the font file within the app's settings, and choose it from the list of available fonts under the 'Fonts' option.
The application includes default color schemes that change every 6 hours. Users can also create custom color sets and adjust background colors along with transparent textures if desired.
Furthermore, users can personalize their experience by incorporating their own background images from their gallery, adjusting text fonts and scaling options as needed.
An optional banner feature displays battery levels and device temperatures using color indicators to denote different levels. Users can track daily device activations ('lookapps') for fun, viewing statistics such as daily counts and averages over seven days.
Additionally, users can enable an optional RSS feed feature that presents feeds as a ticker line at the banner location. Customization options allow for setting feed frequency, recurrence times, and maximum item counts, with support for storing up to three feed addresses.
A new feature introduces a simple timer activated by pressing the clock's center. The timer can count down from a specified number of minutes to zero and vice versa.
Remember, after downloading AndTheClock, users should install the app as a live wallpaper by long-pressing on an empty space on their home screen. The app will not appear in the regular app directory but rather in an Android system directory designated for live wallpapers.
Since version 1.8d, users have the option to set clock backgrounds in two colors like those of the Ukraine flag:

<li>Enable "Show clock circle" in "Settings via Date & Options".</li>
<li>Set "Clock circle color" to FFD700 and "Clock circle (upper-)color" to 0057B7 under "Color set & more" / "Custom colors" / "Custom colors by hex value".</li>
